In therapy sessions,

I prioritize the present experience and deeper exploration in therapy as the main way to address challenges. This differs from therapy that focuses on recounting and planning behaviors and skills to apply outside of a session. When more guidance is needed, I offer additional resources to review after meeting.

I do not use any AI in therapy sessions I provide or in my communication with clients.

The therapy provided is informed by

NeuroAffective Relational (NARM) therapy

Somatic ecotherapy

Person-in-environment

I am also experienced in providing interventions from

Cognitive therapy

Behavioral therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy

Jungian-specific psychodynamic therapy

Motivational interviewing

Flexible Scheduling

I work with clients on scheduling sessions, and collaborate on how often and when we meet. I typically recommend meeting once a week or once every two weeks to better integrate the work we do in our therapy sessions.

Partner in mental healthcare

As a clinical social worker with advanced therapy training, I bring a broad lens to our work together, considering psychobiosocial (psychological, biological, and social) factors that shape your experience. You are invited to bring up anything in a session that you find important for your mental health. If we find more specialized care is needed, I provide specific referrals based on our sessions.

Therapy Letters
Mental health accommodation letters within my scope such as for work or for your place of residence or for those involved in your care are i
ncluded at no cost with a therapy appointment that assesses the necessity and purpose of this letter.

Support Between Sessions

With your consent, due to increased privacy risks with written forms of communication, I’m available for messaging during typical business hours. This may be recommendations to support therapy, or handling any billing-related concerns that come up so financial stress does not complicate our sessions. If we find that this requires more than 30 minutes of time between appointments, I’ll offer to move up our next session.

Building Your Support System

Sometimes, bringing in a partner or family member to a session can significantly improve support outside of therapy. This is optional and the focus remains on your well-being. If we determine that the relationship is in conflict with your individual needs, I may refer you to a provider who specializes in couples or family therapy to fully navigate this complexity.

Continuity of Care

Should you decide to discontinue and restart, you may reach out directly via my @mindfulscape email and skip consultation. I tend to keep some flexibility in my schedule for returning clients. In some cases based on my capacity and your reason for returning, I may provide other options for continuity of care.
